The involvement of a community in the decision-making process makes it possible to minimize the effort of evaluating a large number of ideas and at the same time to give the members of your community a voice.

However, conventional approaches to involving a community in decision making have many weak points and are therefore not suitable for achieving reliable results.

This is where voodle comes in: Our mathematicians have developed a new sorting algorithm that quickly and reliably leads to a significant ranking of the alternatives through relative comparisons.

How it works

1. Your ideas

You have a variety of comparable alternatives, from which you want to choose the best or which you want to shortlist for an expert jury.

Everything you can compare quickly and intuitively, you can voodle (photos, ideas, design concepts, sketches, abstracts, slogans, music, short videos are particularly suitable).

Together, we set up a database for you, in which we prepare your ideas for the voodle process.

2. Your community

Either you already have an existing online community that you want to involve in the decision-making process, or you know who you want to ask (e.g. customers, experts, creatives, citizens, employees).

We are also happy to support you in identifying and building a community that suits you!

3. Let’s voodle!

The number of votes depends on the number of your ideas, the size of your community and the desired level of significance. Our statisticians simulate this number for you in advance (usually 10 votes per user are sufficient to reach a robust result).

voodle is particularly efficient when the number of alternatives and your community are very large.

Then your voodle community will be invited to vote.

Each user is shown two alternatives next to each other and has to choose one of the two based on the question relevant to you (e.g. which ideas have the greater potential? Which product do you like better?).

4. The ranking

In the course of the voting, a ranking is created that shows the alternatives in an order.

With every vote, the result improves. The best ideas go up very quickly.

The advantage of voodle is that all alternatives do not necessarily have to be compared to get a shortlist. Even if only a fraction of the comparisons have taken place, a statement is possible (e.g. with a probability of 95%, the best 3 ideas are among the top 20).

On the other hand, if all alternatives are compared with each other, a robust ranking of the alternatives is created.
